Bramham International Horse Trials 2017: The Highlights

Bramham International Horse Trials 2017: The Highlights

The Komfi dream team are back from their weekend at Bramham International Horse Trials and are delighted to announce that the event was a resounding success!

Our MD Phil Whittell and his family have a long history with Bramham and the equestrian world. In fact, Komfi is currently co-owners of Samuel Thomas II, ridden by GB eventer Oliver Townend.

While Sam the horse wasn't competing this weekend, Komfi had a spacious trade stand selling luxury sleepware products (including our new bespoke mattresses for horsebox beds) and also sponsored a bed-themed cross country fence.

The Look

The statement colours of the Union Jack flag were our inspiration this year, with matching curtains, pillow cases and accessories. The statement union jack blazer and cowhide armchair definitely turned a lot of heads!

On the lefthand side of the stand we displayed the supportive and luxuriously comortable Ikon Trio mattress atop the stylish Kaydian Lanchester Ottoman bed base in grey - an extremely popular shade for bedroom furnishings this year. To the right hand side we displayed the slightly bouncier IKON Sport mattress atop the sleek metal Time Living Edward bed base in Nickle.

We also had a bespoke Komfi mattress and a selection of pillows on stand ready for weary campers to trial.

The Awards

Our exclusive offers, quirky promotional gifts and British-inspired statement décor all came together to win Komfi 1st place in the official British Equestrian Trade Association Stand Awards! The celebratory champagne disappeared swiftly, however the gold certificate and rosette are proudly on display at Komfi HQ.

The Competition

'Stop horsing around and win a mattress' was the slogan for our competition this year, with entrants required to answer the following question for their chance to win a handcrafted Komfi creation.

Who was the leading British Eventing rider in 2016?

The answer was - of course - Oliver Townend! The winner will be announced on Facebook - however all entrants were treated to a novelty horse face mask to jolly up their Bramham photos and a 10% discount code, so really everyone is a winner.

The Selfies

The excitement didn’t stop there either, as on Saturday afternoon we welcomed international rider and heartthrob Oliver Townend onto the Komfi stand to take selfies with fans atop the luxurious Komfi IKON Trio mattress.
