Christmas comes early thanks to Komfi donation
Komfi is delighted to be supporting fantastic charity Alabaré by supplying mattresses for a number of their homes.
Komfi has provided 14 double mattresses - for the charity’s Homes for Veterans service in Salisbury, and for their young people and learning disability supported accommodation in the same area.
Alabaré support homeless and vulnerable people through their homes and services across the South and South West of England, and across Wales. Yvonne Way, Alabare Property Manager with the mattresses donated by Komfi Yvonne Way, Alabare Property Manager with the mattresses donated by Komfi
The charity’s Homes for Veterans initiative helps to transform the lives of Armed Forces Veterans who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless.
Alabaré also provides accommodation and much needed help and support for homeless young people, and long term homes for adults with learning disabilities who wish to live as independently as possible. These services will also benefit from Komfi’s donation.
Phil Whittell, MD of Komfi, said: “Homelessness is an issue that affects so many people in society, which is why the work that Alabaré does is so essential; and why we are keen to do our bit by helping to ensure that those lucky enough to find a home with the charity have a comfortable bed to sleep in at night.”
Martin Field, Director at Alabaré said: “We are really grateful for Komfi’s donation. Alabaré has been working for 25 years with people who are homeless or whose lives are in crisis. We know how much energy and effort is needed to rebuild their lives after a crisis. Getting a good night’s sleep is vital and we look forward to working with Komfi in the future.”
